APPLICATION PROCESS

The summer program at Gowlings Calgary is typically limited to students who have completed their second year of law school. Students are recruited in the fall in accordance with protocol agreed to by the various law schools and the major Calgary law firms.

Law students interested in Gowlings Calgary summer programs are encouraged to submit their application package, including cover letter, résumé and both law school and undergraduate transcripts to J. Barrie Marshall  Q.C., Chair of the Articling Committee, by September 10, 2010.

Hiring decisions are made in November for commencement of summer employment in early May.

ON-CAMPUS INTERVIEWS AND CAREER FAIRS

The summer student recruitment process in Calgary begins with the on-campus interviews. Gowlings Calgary participates in on-campus interviews across the country in the fall of each year.

Gowlings Calgary will be attending career fairs at the following law schools in 2010:

• University of Calgary
• University of Alberta
• University of Saskatchewan

Gowlings Calgary will be conducting On-Campus Interviews at the following law schools in 2010:
